Key takeaways
  • Open Tracked has 19 power-ups. Most are available on every plan, including Free.
  • POAS Data Feed and Google Service Account need Pro. Block Request by IP, Request Delay and Multi-Domains need Business. Dedicated IP needs Enterprise.
  • Each power-up has a Test this power-up button, so you can check it works before you rely on it.

A power-up is a switch in your container settings that adds one job to the tagging server: keep a cookie alive, add the visitor's country to events, block a list of addresses. They work on the server, so you do not edit your website for most of them. This page lists all 19 in one place, with the plan each one needs and what to expect. It is the reference page for the others in this guide: Cookie Keeper, Bot Detection, Click ID Restorer and the POAS Data Feed.

For online stores

Orders from your store, back to the ad that earned them

Your store sends the order once. Open Tracked passes it on to each ad platform, cleaned and deduplicated.

Which to switch on first

1

Custom Loader

Serve the Tag Manager script from your own domain. It takes a few minutes.

2

Data Store, then Cookie Keeper

Cookie Keeper keeps its cookies in the Data Store. Turn on the Data Store first.

3

Enricher

Add stored hashed e-mail and phone to later events so returning visitors match.

4

Visitor Location and Device Info

Richer events for Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and GA4. Visitor Location needs your CDN to send location headers.

5

Bot Detection in Header mode

Mark bots, then decide in Tag Manager what to do with them.

The setup pattern

Every power-up follows the same pattern. You open it, switch it on and press Save. Some then need the GTM files downloaded from the Setup Wizard and imported into your server container, because the container has to read the new data. Finally you press Test this power-up and check the result described on the page. A rule that touches the web server (Bot Detection, Block Request by IP, Request Delay, Click ID Restorer, Anonymizer) goes live within a few seconds of saving.

What each group is for

01

Recover lost data

Custom Loader, File Proxy, Cookie Keeper, Click ID Restorer and Open Container for Bot Index help scripts and cookies survive blockers and Safari.

02

Improve matching

Data Store, Enricher, Visitor Location, Device Info and User ID give the ad platforms more to match on.

03

Keep the server clean

Bot Detection, Block Request by IP and the Anonymizer decide what reaches your container.

04

Measure profit and timing

POAS Data Feed and Request Delay turn the server into a place for profit and offline timing.

05

Scale and connect

Multi-Domains, Google Service Account and Dedicated IP serve agencies and larger set-ups.

Plans and limits to remember

  • Custom cookies in Cookie Keeper (a name and the days to keep) need the Business plan.
  • The Data Store holds 1,000 keys on Free, 50,000 on Pro, 500,000 on Business and 5 million on Enterprise.
  • Multi-Domains is for the Business plan and above. Dedicated IP is for Enterprise.
  • Request Delay answers the visitor at once and sends the request on after the delay, only for the path you choose.

Testing and monitoring

Each power-up has its own test, and its page explains what a good result looks like, for example "the server container sets _fbp again from the Data Store". After the first week, check the logs (3 days on Pro, 10 days on Business) and the monitoring alerts (5 on Business, 10 on Business+) so you notice if something stops working.

Fix your tracking at the source

Open Tracked hosts your server-side Tag Manager, keeps first-party cookies alive and shows what each ad is really worth.
