Open TrackedHosting + analytics + CRM

StapeServer GTM hosting + power-ups
In this guide
The short answer
  • Every power-up Stape sells has an Open Tracked equivalent, and most are on every plan, including Free: Cookie Keeper, Data Store, Enricher, File Proxy and Bot Detection.
  • Open Tracked adds first-party analytics, a CRM with offline conversions that carries click IDs such as gclid from the first visit to the closed deal, profit on ad spend and an AI assistant in the same account.
  • Stape is mainly a hosting product with a wide range of integrations. Open Tracked is a tracking, analytics and CRM platform that includes the server.

Open Tracked and Stape solve the same core problem. Both run a server-side Google Tag Manager container for you, on a subdomain of your own website, so that Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and GA4 events are sent from a server instead of the visitor's browser. If you are new to the idea, read what server-side tracking is first. This page is about the differences between the two products, with the facts from each vendor's own pages. Prices and limits in this article were read from the vendors' public pages on October 26, 2026. Plans change, so check the linked pages before you buy.

Open Tracked is the one account that puts the tracking server, first-party analytics, a CRM with offline conversions and an AI assistant together, and the plans stay fair at every size: a free start, a $10 Pro plan, and room to scale up to enterprise volume with a custom plan. Most power-ups that other hosts keep for paid tiers are already on the Free plan.

Data in, clean out

Raw events in. Clean events out.

Open Tracked collects each event on your own domain, removes the noise and sends what is left to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok.

All the plans, priced

Open Tracked keeps the entry plans accessible and the ceiling high. Hosting runs from a free plan to 20 million requests a month, analytics from 500 to 7,500 tracked orders, with a custom plan above that, and you can add them together as you grow. Billed yearly, every paid plan is 20% lower.

Prices for the same hosting size, each from the vendor's own page. Open Tracked gives you more room per dollar, and the same power-ups on the Free plan that Stape keeps for paid plans.

At the top of the standard plans, Open Tracked Enterprise hosting ($100) plus Scale analytics ($299) comes to $399. That one account covers server-side tracking, every analytics report, the CRM with offline conversions and the AI assistant. Stape's hosting alone at 20 million requests is $200.

The short version

Hosting a server container is the starting point, and both products do it well. What separates them is everything that happens after the event arrives. In Open Tracked the same account connects your server-side tracking, GA4 and your ad platforms, first-party analytics with spend, revenue and profit, and a CRM that sends each lead stage back to Google Ads and Meta as an offline conversion, using the click ID saved at the form. Stape's strength is a mature hosting service with many ready-made apps and integrations.

What you get with Open Tracked besides hosting

A large part of Open Tracked sits beside the server rather than inside it. These are in the same account, on the same login:

01

First-party analytics

A full dashboard built on your own server data: acquisition, creatives, website, retention, orders, products and finance, with ad spend, revenue, ROAS and profit side by side.

02

CRM with offline conversions

Lead stages from your CRM go back to Meta and Google Ads as conversions, so the ad platforms learn which leads become customers. See how it works.

03

Ari, the AI assistant

Ask questions about your own numbers and get answers from your data, included in the analytics plans.

04

MCP server for your whole account

Both vendors now offer MCP servers for AI assistants. Stape's are free and cover Tag Manager, Stape and GA4. Open Tracked's also reaches your Open Tracked account: containers, domains, power-ups and the tracking score. See the MCP guide.

05

Tracking score and setup wizard

A score that shows what is missing in your tracking, and a step-by-step wizard that downloads ready GTM files for your web and server containers.

06

Ad data sources

Connect your ad platforms so spend and campaigns land in the same reports as your orders.

Stape is mainly a hosting product with power-ups and integrations. Open Tracked adds the proof that the tracking works and the reports your team reads every Monday. For a store that spends on ads, that is usually the difference between paying for a server and understanding what it is bringing in.

Open Tracked plans and prices

Open Tracked sells server hosting and analytics as two separate subscriptions. You can use either one on its own. The hosting plans are on the pricing page:

PlanMonthly priceRequests per monthWhat is included
Free$015,000 per containerCustom domain, Custom Loader, Cookie Keeper, Data Store, Enricher, File Proxy, Bot Detection, Visitor Location, Device Info, User ID, Click ID Restorer, Anonymizer, preview header, open container for bot index, setup wizard, community support
Pro$10 ($8 a month billed yearly)500,000Everything in Free, plus POAS data feed, Google service account, logs for 3 days, a bigger Data Store, email support
Business$30 ($24 a month billed yearly)2,000,000Everything in Pro, plus Cookie Keeper with your own custom cookies, Multi-Domains, request delay, block requests by IP, monitoring with 5 alerts, logs for 10 days, priority support

Enterprise$100 ($80 a month billed yearly)20,000,000Everything in Business+, plus Dedicated IP, the largest Data Store, call support

Look at the Free row. Stape holds Cookie Keeper, Data Store, Enricher, bot detection and File Proxy back for its paid plans. In Open Tracked they are on from the free plan. The paid plans add requests, log history, support and the larger options.

Choosing a plan by volume

A "request" is one call from a browser or a server to your tagging server. A store with 20,000 visits a month and about 15 events per visit sends roughly 300,000 requests. Count your own in the logs for a week, then compare what each plan includes at that size, not only the entry price. The plans of both products are on their price pages.

Power-ups and features: who includes what

Both products sell small add-ons around the server container. They call them power-ups. These are the ones that matter for tracking quality:

Every power-up we found on Stape's price page has an Open Tracked equivalent. The plan each one unlocks on is the difference:

01

Cookie Keeper

Sets your cookies from the server so they last longer in Safari. In Open Tracked it works on the Free plan with the standard cookies, and the Business plan lets you add cookies of your own. See Safari ITP.

02

Data Store and Enricher

The Data Store keeps hashed email, phone and click IDs on the server for up to 400 days, and the Enricher puts them back into later events so a returning visitor still reaches Meta, TikTok and Google Ads with a good match. The store holds 1,000 keys on Free and up to 5 million on Enterprise. See Meta event match quality.

03

Bot Detection and Anonymizer

Bot Detection either adds an X-Bot-Detection header you can read in GTM or blocks bots with a 403. The Anonymizer zeroes the last part of the visitor IP, or removes it. Both are on every plan.

04

Request Delay and File Proxy

Request Delay holds a request from 1 to 2,000 minutes, which helps with offline conversion timing. File Proxy serves a pixel script, font or image from your own tagging address.

05

Multi-Domains

One server container for several websites, each on its own subdomain. Available from Business.

06

Extra data power-ups

Visitor Location adds country, region, city and postcode to events sent to Meta, TikTok and Google Ads. Device Info adds the operating system, browser and phone flag. User ID sends an anonymous external_id to Meta. Click ID Restorer turns custom click parameters back into gclid or msclkid.

07

POAS and Service Account

POAS data feed works out profit per order from your product margins and sends it to GA4 and Google Ads. The Google service account connects BigQuery to your container. Both from Pro.

08

Dedicated IP

A fixed outgoing IP address for allow-lists. Enterprise plan. Stape lists it on its custom plan.

What Open Tracked adds around the server

Open Tracked is not only hosting. The same account gives you a first-party analytics dashboard, a CRM pipeline and an MCP server for AI assistants. The analytics plans are separate and sized by the number of tracked orders:

Analytics planMonthly priceTracked ordersNotes
Starter$49 ($39 a month billed yearly)500 a monthUp to 3 stores, 24/7 live chat support, every report and dashboard, live view with a globe, orders, products and finance, Ari AI allowance, email support
Growth$149 ($119 a month billed yearly)3,000 a monthUp to 5 stores, everything in Starter, larger Ari AI allowance, priority support
Scale$299 ($239 a month billed yearly)7,500 a monthUp to 10 stores, everything in Growth, largest Ari AI allowance, call support
Agency / EnterpriseFrom $799 ($639 a month billed yearly)From 7,500 a monthEverything in Scale, unlimited stores, agency dashboard, priority support

Every analytics plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

With these you can read ad spend, revenue, ROAS, profit and new-customer cost next to the tracking, instead of building the report from three tools. The CRM pipeline lets lead stages go back to Meta and Google Ads as offline conversions (how that works). The MCP server lets Claude or Cursor prepare Tag Manager workspaces for you.

Support, logs and monitoring

  • Logs: both keep 3 days on the paid entry plan and 10 days on Business. Open Tracked adds log export from Business+, Stape from Enterprise.
  • Monitoring: Open Tracked Business has 5 alerts and Business+ has 10. Stape lists monitoring on Business.
  • Support: Open Tracked Pro has email support, Business and Business+ priority support, and Enterprise call support. Stape Pro has email and chat, and Enterprise adds an account manager and call support.

Where Stape is ahead

To be fair, Stape has been around longer and has a few things we do not yet offer. Going by its price page, they are a wider range of ready-made store, CMS and CRM apps and mobile SDKs, multi-zone infrastructure on the Business plan, and HIPAA terms, SSO and a private cluster on the custom plan. Stape also runs free MCP servers and an AI assistant. If you need one of those today, talk to them. For the power-ups and the tracking itself, Open Tracked gives you the same set and more, in the same account as analytics and a CRM.

Who should choose which

Choose Open Tracked if
  • you want hosting, analytics and offline conversions in one account
  • you want Cookie Keeper, Data Store and Enricher on every plan
  • you want tracking, analytics and a CRM in one login
  • you run ads for clients and need profit and ROAS reports in the same place
  • you want an AI assistant that can also read your Open Tracked account, not only Tag Manager
Choose Stape if
  • you need HIPAA terms, SSO or a private cluster today and are willing to talk to sales
  • you want a ready-made app for a specific store platform or CRM that we do not have yet

How to test both in a week

1

Export your containers

In Tag Manager, export the web and server containers so you can import them anywhere.

2

Create a test subdomain on each

For example t1.yourstore.com for one and t2.yourstore.com for the other.

3

Send the same events to both

Use the same Meta pixel and the same test purchase.

4

Compare after seven days

Look at event counts, match quality in Meta Events Manager and any errors in the logs.

5

Move the main domain

Change the DNS record of your main tagging subdomain to the winner. Tracking keeps running during the switch.

How to move from Stape to Open Tracked

Moving takes about an hour. Import your Tag Manager containers, add your tagging domain in Open Tracked, copy the DNS record it gives you, wait for it to verify, then switch the server container URL in your web container. The full steps are in migrating from Stape.

We are an Open Tracked company, so read both vendors' own pages as well: Open Tracked pricing and Stape pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How is Open Tracked different from Stape?

Both host a Google Tag Manager server container with the main power-ups. Open Tracked adds first-party analytics, a CRM with offline conversions, profit on ad spend and an AI assistant in the same account, and puts Cookie Keeper, Data Store, Enricher, File Proxy and Bot Detection on every plan including Free.

Do Open Tracked and Stape use the same Tag Manager templates?

Both run a standard Google Tag Manager server container. Templates from the public gallery work in both.

Can I run both at the same time?

Yes, on different subdomains. Many teams do this for a week to compare event counts.

What is a request?

One call to your tagging server. A page view usually sends several: one for the page, one for each event and one for each forwarded tag.

Does Open Tracked have a free plan?

Yes. The free plan covers 15,000 requests a month per container, with a custom domain, the Custom Loader, Cookie Keeper, Data Store, Enricher, File Proxy, bot detection and the other data power-ups.

Which has better support?

Both offer email support on the entry plan and call support on Enterprise. Test the response time during your trial.

Do I need spreadsheets to read my results?

No. Once tracking is live, the Open Tracked analytics shows spend, revenue, ROAS and profit, and you can ask Ari, the built-in AI assistant, questions about your own numbers in plain words. Ari's allowance depends on your analytics plan.

Is Open Tracked different from Open Track or Open Space Track?

No. Open Tracked is the official name of our server-side tracking platform, and the website is opentracked.io. Many people search for it as Open Track, OpenTrack or Open Space Track. All of them lead to the same product: server-side Google Tag Manager hosting, first-party analytics and a CRM pipeline.

Fix your tracking at the source

Open Tracked hosts your server-side Tag Manager, keeps first-party cookies alive and shows what each ad is really worth.
