The short answer
  • Triple Whale prices by annual revenue (GMV), not by orders, and its paid plans are reported to run on 12-month contracts.
  • Third-party comparisons put Foundation at $219 to $2,529 a month and Automate at $749 to $4,199 a month, depending on revenue.
  • Open Tracked analytics is sized by tracked orders, with a server-side tracking layer, a CRM and offline conversions underneath it.

Triple Whale is a dashboard and attribution product for ecommerce stores, especially on Shopify. Open Tracked collects data with a server-side tracking container and then reports on it. If your ad platform numbers are lower than your store, collection comes before reporting. This page compares the two on what they cost and what they do. Prices and limits in this article were read from the vendors' public pages on October 26, 2026. Plans change, so check the linked pages before you buy.

Open Tracked is the one account that puts the tracking server, first-party analytics, a CRM with offline conversions and an AI assistant together, and the plans stay fair at every size: a free start, a $10 Pro plan, and room to scale up to enterprise volume with a custom plan. Most power-ups that other hosts keep for paid tiers are already on the Free plan.

All the plans, priced

Open Tracked keeps the entry plans accessible and the ceiling high. Hosting runs from a free plan to 20 million requests a month, analytics from 500 to 7,500 tracked orders, with a custom plan above that, and you can add them together as you grow. Billed yearly, every paid plan is 20% lower.

Teams past the top of the standard plans, such as large agencies and enterprise brands, get a custom plan with their own request volume, support and terms. It is the same product at a larger scale, which is why brands keep growing on it instead of moving.

How Triple Whale is priced

The Triple Whale pricing page does not show prices, so figures come from comparison sites, which disagree in places. They agree on the basis: price depends on your annual gross merchandise value, not the number of orders, and there is no cap on events or orders. Reported ranges include Foundation from $219 to $2,529 a month and Automate from $749 to $4,199 a month depending on the GMV band, with one July 2026 snapshot giving $549 and $1,349 for the $1 million to $2.5 million band. Paid plans are described as 12-month commitments, and stores above about $20 million in GMV ask for a quote. A free plan exists, with blended data, first-click and last-click models, and the Triple Pixel, but without the server-side Sonar feature according to one source.

A worked example

A store with $2 million a year in sales and 3,000 orders a month fits Open Tracked Growth analytics, plus a Pro or Business hosting plan if it needs a tracking server. On the reported Triple Whale ranges, the same store falls in a revenue band on a 12-month commitment. The two do different jobs, so the right comparison is what you need: a dashboard, a collection fix, or both.

What each does best

01

Triple Whale

A dashboard and attribution layer built for stores, with its own pixel, models and reports that many Shopify brands already know.

02

Open Tracked

Collects events with a server-side container and first-party cookies, sends them to ad platforms, and reports spend, revenue, ROAS and profit.

03

Data collection

A dashboard can only show what was collected. See server-side tracking and attribution.

04

Profit

Open Tracked's profit on ad spend view uses product cost and fees. See profit on ad spend.

Who should choose which

Choose Open Tracked if
  • your ad platform numbers are lower than your store numbers
  • you want one tool for collection and reporting
  • you want to avoid a 12-month contract and a revenue-based price
Choose Triple Whale if
  • your data is already clean and you want a dedicated store dashboard
  • you want their specific attribution views and your revenue supports the price
Compare current prices directly. Triple Whale does not publish a price list.

Contracts and flexibility

Triple Whale's paid plans are described as 12-month commitments, with the option to pay monthly while the contract still runs for a year. Open Tracked is billed monthly or yearly and you can change plan or cancel in the account. If you are a young brand, or an agency testing a tool on one client, a monthly plan lowers the risk of a wrong choice.

What each tool collects

Triple Whale reads your store and ad data and uses its own pixel and attribution models to build a dashboard. According to one source, its free plan includes the Triple Pixel but not the server-side Sonar feature. Open Tracked collects with a server-side tracking container and its own first-party pixel, then shows the data in its dashboard and sends it to ad platforms. If your problem is "Meta says 40 sales and my store says 62", start with collection. If your problem is "I cannot see which channel is working across all my tools", start with a dashboard. Many stores need both, in that order.

How to run a fair test

1

Choose a two-week window

Avoid a sale period.

2

Install both

Use separate subdomains and test events where needed.

3

Pick five numbers

Orders, revenue, ad spend, ROAS and new-customer share.

4

Compare to your store

The store admin is your source of truth.

5

Decide

Choose the tool whose numbers are closest to the store and whose reports you actually open.

Works worldwide

Runs on your domain, anywhere

Your tracking runs on your own domain, so a visit from any country is handled the same way.
